The Fountain Hills Senior Center will host a program on aerial (drone) photography Thursday, June 4.

It will be held at 6 p.m.

Videographer and photographer Larry Arbanas of Earthwhile Films and Photography will give a live 15-minute outdoor demo of his multi-rotor copter or drone.

He typically uses the “eye in the sky” for shooting footage of nature and environmental projects as well as real estate.

The remainder of the presentation will be inside the Community Center.

Arbanas has shot footage or produced films for Public Broadcasting System, New York Historical Society, the Canada Museum of Nature, Maya Lin (designer of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Audubon Society.

He has filmed nature projects throughout the U.S., Mexico, Central America and Northern Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic.

The cost is free for Activity Center members and $5 for non-members; pre-registration is required.
