Señor Taco owner Juan Gonzalez recently presented a $500 check to Bob’s Free Bikes to begin sponsorship of the local non-profit organization.

“We just don’t have words that express how grateful we are for Señor Taco’s support,” said founder Bob Mandell.

Señor Taco has agreed to quarterly sponsor “Bob’s Free Bikes days,” when the two local restaurants will donate 10 percent of the sales for breakfast, lunch and dinner to the charity. Dates will be announced in advance.

Bob’s Free Bikes collects used bicycles, refurbishes and donates them to children who need or would like a bike.

Nominations to receive a bike come from schools, churches, families and foster care throughout the Greater Phoenix area.

The motto is “Changing kids’ lives one bike at a time.”
