OPINION — I have called Fountain Hills home since 1977. I have served as a small-business owner, Chamber chairman, church president, community volunteer, Planning and Zoning commissioner, Rotary president, councilmember, two-term mayor and more. Those experiences taught me that good government begins by listening, treating people with respect and remembering every public dollar belongs to the taxpayer.
As mayor during the Great Recession, I helped lead our town through difficult financial decisions. We reduced spending, streamlined government and protected essential public-safety services. We established priorities, made tough choices and worked together without demanding more from taxpayers.
I am seeking to represent Legislative District 3 in the Arizona House because our state needs experienced, principled leadership. Arizona families face rising costs, concerns about water and housing, pressure on small businesses and growing distrust in government.
