The shade material has been installed and there remains some minor landscape and safety considerations before the construction fence comes down, but a shade structure over a fountain area on Avenue of the Fountains is nearing completion giving way to public access.
The shade is one of several capital improvement projects taking place along the Avenue of the Fountains plaza. It has been installed over the midpoint fountain on the eastern half of the plaza.
There are picnic tables around the fountain at this location which is used for band performances during the Concerts on the Avenue series in the spring and fall.
