Fountain Hills park getting new shaded picnic area

Ready for summer activity

Contractors have begun construction of a shaded picnic area at Fountain Park.

Construction has begun on a shaded picnic area in Fountain Park adjacent to the splash pad water park.

The $550,000 project includes a 60-foot shade structure with space for 21 picnic tables. There will also be two additional small ramadas adjacent to the water park.

The 55-foot by 60-foot shade canopy is being constructed in the open area to cover the 21-table configuration. The project also includes landscaping and sidewalk connectivity to existing amenities.
