Shameful

Many families of servicemen ignored needing help from our government but not receiving it, like the very servicemen languishing in Mexican prison after making a wrong turn at night leaving a VA hospital in California along the border. One luckily called his mother stating where he was, and she frantically tried getting while he was beaten at the Mexican prison. An outside source finally intervened to secure release.

Now another family needs help. Their son deployed to Afghanistan on a dangerous mission replacing an injured lieutenant. Taliban spotters alerted Taliban when they encounter U.S. troops. A helicopter radioed our troops were heading their way. After warning shot by our marksmen they broke through walking toward our troops, their son gave command to fire – two killed others captured.

After arriving back at base he ordered prisoners tested for explosive residue, testing positive on their hands, yet instead of imprisoning and interrogating, military intelligence at headquarters released them. The son was fired as platoon leader and investigated for murder. (Was Afghan army angry or U.S. higher up appeasing the locals?)

A year later the son stood trial in military courtroom for murder with platoon including marksmen who killed the terrorists. Then all five changed their initial statements being promised immunity. Colleagues stood up for their son yet he was found guilty. After 10 years of honorable service he lost Army pay and pension, sentenced to 20 years at Fort Leavenworth Prison.

He was doing his job protecting Afghans from Taliban. If they can’t shoot give up their lives instead.

Obama administration freed five top command terrorists from Gitmo claiming swap for Bowe Bergdahl not true, reports from 2012 reveal secret negotiating with Taliban only after U.S. intelligence nixing plan that Obama conjured up swap. But even in prison Bergdahl tried contacting enemies by phone.
