The town has organized a free Irish fest from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. that will include bagpipers, Celtic music, food vendors and children’s play zone.

Fountain Park will be the gathering place for St. Patrick’s Day celebrants on Saturday, March 17.

The Fountain will be transformed into an emerald green geyser twice; once at noon and again at 4 p.m.

The town has organized a free Irish fest from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. that will include bagpipers, Celtic music, food vendors and children’s play zone.

The Kilted Spirit Band will perform for one hour between 1 and 2 p.m. Bagpipers will take the stage at 2 p.m.

Traveler, a Celtic rock band, will play from 3 to 5 p.m.

O’Green Market

Magic Bird Festivals will bring back its Fountain O’Green Artisan Market for the second year, March 16-18 in the median along the Avenue of Fountains from Saguaro Boulevard to N. Verde River Drive.

The event is free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., each of the three days.

Magic Birds Festivals owner Roberta Toombs-Rechlin said she expects about 100 fine arts and crafts exhibiters, local food vendors and live music.

The featured artist is Gail Rieder of Goldfire Jewelry Creations.

Food choices will be Native American fry bread, tacos and fair food.

Singer-songwriter Michael SG will entertain.
