Sharon K. Lunde, seriously cute and fun to be with, of Woodbury, Minn. and Fountain Hills, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, in Scottsdale.

She was 75 years old.

Sharon was born Oct. 11, 1939, in Bagley, Minn., the daughter of John and June Berg. She grew up in Rapid City and graduated from Teachers College, Fort Collins, Colo. She married David Lunde on Aug. 11, 1961, in Rapid City, S.D. They had two beautiful children, Lisa and Eric.

She was a dedicated teacher at Woodbury Junior High School for 30 years, and was a long-time member of Hastings Country Club and most recently of FireRock Country Club in Fountain Hills.

She loved teaching, reading, traveling and sharing her joy and great humor with her many good friends. She had an adversarial relationship with golf and loved the great times she had on the course with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Eric Lunde of Scottsdale. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dave in 1993, and her daughter Lisa in 2006.

A celebration of her life was held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 2, at FireRock Country Club in Fountain Hills. A memorial service in Minnesota will be planned this summer. Donations will be made in her honor to the local food shelves in both Arizona and Minnesota.

Messinger’s Funeral Home in Fountain Hills is in charge of arrangements.
