The third annual Shepherd of the Hills Charitable Foundation Talent/Variety Show is coming soon…mark those calendars for Friday evening, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Lutheran Church.

“We’ve got a great line-up of contestants so far, but we are looking for a couple more acts to complete the show,” said organizer John Bjornholt.

Contact him at 816-6609 if interested in sharing your talents.

“Come and bring your friends for an evening of fun and entertainment, with performances by singers, musicians and comedians.

“Look for the return of the hilarious ‘Lutheran Tabernacle Bottle Blowers’ again this year!”

Cost is $10 for adults, with kids 13 and admitted free. Cash prizes for first ($200), second ($100) and third ($50) place will be awarded, determined by audience voting at the end of the program.

“Your ticket is your ballot,” Bjornholt explained.

“While the votes are being counted, an old-fashioned homemade pie and cake auction will be held. See if you can outbid your neighbor.”

Door prizes will also be awarded during intermission to a few lucky ticket holders.

Tickets for the talent show are available now at the SOTH church office or at the door on the evening of the show.

All net proceeds go to the foundation, which provides funding for many local charities, as well as college scholarships for Fountain Hills High School seniors.

On Friday evening, March 6, the foundation is also proud to present Gordon “Crazy Fingers” Lindquist to entertain with his piano playing antics at SOTH. Tickets for that event will be on sale soon.
