The community is invited to enjoy a prayer walk and nature trail recently completed at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.
The path is designed to provide walkers a place of solitude in the midst of God’s beauty. Walkers will find signs along the path with verses of the Lord’s Prayer to stimulate a personal meditation along with signs identifying desert plants.
Benches are provided along the path as well as a drinking fountain (at stop four). The prayer walk ends at the Heritage Garden where one can enjoy a beautiful rose garden. The entire walk is about 3/10 of a mile if you return to the point where you begin.

The prayer walk has been made possible by the generous donations of many people with hard work and memorial funds.
The rock-lined path with the nature walk and a bench were donated as part of an Eagle Scout project by Ben Troller from SOTH Boy Scout Troop No. 444.
Memorial benches and a bench donated by the SOTH Charitable Foundation are located along the path. Church members donated and spread gravel on the nature walk area, as well as providing the signage as a memorial gift.
Walkers have found this a restful and beautiful walk and invite the community to enjoy it as a place of exercise, meditation or to learn the names of some desert plants.
The trail begins by the church office in the lower east parking lot of the church property.
