Fountain Hills: Sheriff's call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills reported that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, July 18, through Wednesday, July 24.

Thursday, July 18

*Deputies responded to Shea and Palisades boulevards for a reported rear end traffic collision. A driver failed to control their speed to avoid a collision. A citation was issued. No injuries were reported. No vehicles were towed.

*A resident of the 16000 block of El Lago Blvd. reported a violation of a court order.

Saturday, July 20

*A resident of the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive reported a violation of a court order.

Sunday, July 21

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject shoplifted merchandise valued at approximately $400 from a business.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. for a single vehicle collision. While investigating the collision deputies initiated a DUI investigation. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

*Deputies responded to Shea and Palisades boulevards where it was reported that an unknown subject yelled profanities and threw something at a group of people.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Crystal Point Drive where an aggravated assault incident was reported. The victim did not wish to aid in prosecution.

Monday, July 22

*Deputies stopped a driver on McDowell Mountain Road (MP1) and issued them a criminal speeding citation. The driver was reported to be traveling 70 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45.

*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on McDowell Mountain Road (MP 1). A driver was reported to be traveling 83 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. They were issued a citation for criminal speed.

*A resident of the 17000 block of Grande Blvd. reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s credit card without permission.

*A deputy on patrol in the 15000 block of Mustang Drive discovered that an unknown subject had damaged a street sign. The estimated replacement cost was approximately $600.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. for a call for a service where they made contact with an individual. A check of records revealed that the subject had an outstanding warrant from the City of Mesa. The subject was taken into custody and turned over to Mesa Police.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Westby Drive reported a domestic violence assault incident.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Sierra Madre Drive reported that an unknown driver struck a parked vehicle causing damage, then fled the scene.

Tuesday, July 23

*A resident of the 14000 block of Olympic Way reported a violation of a court order. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody and booked into jail.

*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills Boulevard and Kings Way where it was reported that an individual had thrown a rock through the window of a business. The subject was subsequently taken into custody and booked into jail.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Panorama Drive where it was reported that a subject went to his ex-girlfriend’s residence and assaulted a friend of hers and then fled the scene.

Wednesday, July 24

*A resident of the 15000 block of Golden Eagle Blvd. reported that an unknown subject posed as a Bank of America employee as part of a fraudulent scheme to steal funds from the victim.
