Fountain Hills: Sheriff's call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Aug. 8, through Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Thursday, Aug. 8

*A resident of the 15000 block of Sycamore Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal identifying information without permission.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that unknown subjects took personal items from multiple lockers at a business. These subjects then made unauthorized purchases at local businesses. This case was assigned to detectives for follow-up.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Ibsen Drive where it was reported that an unknown driver struck a parked vehicle then fled the scene without reporting the collision.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that two employees of a business got into a physical fight while working at the business.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject broke a window of the victim’s vehicle and took items from within while it was parked in a parking lot.

Friday, Aug. 9

*A resident of the 16000 block of Venetian Lane reported that an unknown subject took the victim’s personal identifying information by posing as a PayPal employee.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Briarwood Drive in reference to a call for service. Deputies made contact with a subject and a check of records revealed the subject had an outstanding warrant. The subject was booked into jail on the warrant.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Cambria Drive where it was reported that the complainant’s ex-spouse was being abusive toward their common child by using spankings as a form of discipline.

Saturday, Aug. 10

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown driver struck a parked vehicle then fled the scene without reporting the collision.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown driver struck a vehicle that was parked in a parking lot then fled the scene without reporting the collision.

*Deputies responded to Glenbrook Boulevard and Bluejay Drive where it was reported that a traffic collision occurred when a deer ran into the roadway and struck a vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Zephyr Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject damaged property near a community pool.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Glenbrook Blvd. where a private property traffic collision was reported. A driver backed into an unoccupied vehicle in a parking lot.

Sunday, Aug. 11

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Ryan Drive for a reported traffic collision that occurred when a driver lost control of their vehicle and struck a residence. A DUI investigation was initiated, and charges are pending lab results. During the DUI investigation illegal drugs were found in the driver’s vehicle. The driver was booked into jail for a drug offense.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Tumbleweed Drive where domestic violence assault was reported. Charges were submitted to the Fountain Hills Municipal Court.

Monday, Aug. 12

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject shoplifted multiple items from a business.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive reported that a subject damaged property at a private residence. The subject was later contacted by deputies and issued a criminal citation.

Tuesday, Aug. 13

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Chama Drive when a traffic collision occurred after a driver struck a parked vehicle on the side of the roadway. No injuries were reported. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of McDowell Mountain Road where a custodial interference incident was reported.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains where it was reported that a subject caused a disturbance at a business and threatened an employee. The subject was issued a criminal citation and trespassed from the business.

Wednesday, Aug. 14

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject shoplifted items from a business.

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject illegally dumped trash in the parking lot of a business.
