Fountain Hills: Sheriff's call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following incidents during the week from Thursday, Aug. 15, through Wednesday, Aug. 21.

Thursday, Aug. 15

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Firerock Country Club Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject damaged an entrance gate to the gated community.

*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard and 136th Street. The driver was alleged to be traveling 74 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Palatial Drive for a driver traveling 75 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a citation for criminal speed.

Friday, Aug. 16

*Deputies responded along with fire crews to the 14000 block of Desert Tortoise Trail for a reported brush fire. It is suspected that construction workers accidentally started the fire. The fire grew to approximately 10 acres. No property was damaged.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. It was reported that a vehicle struck a parked vehicle in a parking lot. No injuries were reported; no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Mimosa Drive where a domestic violence fight incident was reported. Charges are being submitted to the Fountain Hills Municipal Court.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Cavedale Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open a credit account.

Saturday, Aug. 17

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Dickens Court where a subject was trespassed from a residence.

Sunday, Aug. 18

*A resident of the 9000 block of Rock Ridge Trail reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open a credit account and made approximately $1,000 in unauthorized purchases.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Hedgehog Court reported that an unknown subject took an item from the victim’s home without permission.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that a driver with a learner’s permit was practicing driving with a licensed driver in a parking lot when they lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from a ditch.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Calle Del Prado reported that an unknown subject entered and took items from a vehicle parked at a residence.

Monday, Aug. 19

*Deputies stopped a driver for criminal speed on McDowell Mountain Road, MP2. The driver was traveling 71 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Palatial Drive. A driver was stopped for criminal speed traveling 81 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject damaged a vehicle that was parked in a parking lot.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Parkview Ave. where it was reported that an unknown subject assaulted the victim by punching them in the face. The victim was not cooperative and refused to aid in prosecution.
