Fountain Hills Sheriff’s call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 3, through Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Thursday, Oct. 3

*Deputies responded to Shea and Palisades boulevards where a traffic collision occurred after a motorist made an unsafe lane change and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Palisades Boulevard at Sunflower Drive and issued a driver a citation for criminal speed for allegedly traveling 76 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45.

*Deputies stopped a motorist on McDowell Mountain Road (MP2) and issued them a criminal citation for allegedly traveling 70 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45.

Friday, Oct. 4

*Deputies responded to Shea and Saguaro boulevards for a reported traffic collision after a driver made an improper turn from an intersection and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, one vehicle was towed from the scene. A citation was issued.

*Deputies responded to Shea and Saguaro boulevards where it was reported that a subject made threatening statements via text message. The complainant did not want to aid in prosecution.

Sunday, Oct. 6

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Red Mountain Trail where it was reported that an unknown driver struck an unoccupied parked vehicle and fled the area. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to La Montana Drive and Palisades Boulevard for a reported single vehicle traffic collision. The incident occurred after a mechanical issue caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, leave the roadway and strike a tree. No injuries were reported, the vehicle was towed from the scene. A citation was issued.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Kingstree Blvd. reported that an unknown subject dumped trash on the complainant’s property damaging landscaping in the process.

*Deputies responding to a call for service in the 15000 block of Thistle Drive made contact with a subject who was found to have multiple active arrest warrants. The subject was arrested and turned over to Glendale Police for booking on the warrants.

Tuesday, Oct. 8

*A resident of the 15000 block of Hedgehog Court reported a domestic violence criminal damage incident. Two subjects were arrested and booked into jail.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Primrose Drive reported that a neighbor made threats to assault the complainant in person over a property line dispute.

Wednesday, Oct. 9

*A resident of the 13000 block of Cambria Drive reported that an unknown subject damaged the complainant’s garage door by striking it with a vehicle.

*A resident of the 11000 block of Viento Court reported that an unknown subject removed a firearm from the victim’s residence.

*Deputies issued a criminal citation to a motorist on McDowell Mountain Road (MP2). The driver was allegedly traveling 70 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45.

*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and Westridge Drive for a reported single vehicle collision that occurred after the driver was distracted by an electronic device, left the roadway, and struck a boulder in the center median. No injuries were reported, the vehicle was towed from the scene.
