Weekly update from Fountain Hills district

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following incidents that include five vehicle collisions during the time of Jan. 1  to Jan. 7.

Thursday, Jan. 1

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of N. Hamilton Drive where it was reported an unknown subject damaged a vehicle parked in a residential parking area.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following incidents that include five vehicle collisions during the time of Jan. 1  to Jan. 7.

Thursday, Jan. 1

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of N. Hamilton Drive where it was reported an unknown subject damaged a vehicle parked in a residential parking area.

Friday, Jan. 2.

*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and Vista Drive where it was reported a vehicle was stopped for suspended registration. A records check of the driver revealed the driver’s license was also suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of E. Emerald Drive where a domestic violence criminal damage incident was reported.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of E. Nicklaus Drive where it was reported an unknown subject stole the victim’s vehicle out of an unsecured garage.

Saturday, Jan. 3

*Deputies responded to Saguaro Boulevard and Trevino Drive where it was reported a subject assaulted the victim by punching them in the face multiple times. The victim did not wish to aid in prosecution.

Sunday, Jan. 4

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of E. Rockwood Drive where it was reported an unknown subject entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and dumped potato chips on the floorboard, causing damage.

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of E. Rockwood Drive where it was reported an unknown subject attempted to break into a residence through a window but was unsuccessful.

Monday, Jan. 5

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of N. Escalante Drive where it was reported an unknown subject trespassed on property marked no trespassing and damaged property by spray painting graffiti on a commercial building.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of E. Avenue of the Fountains where they reportedly contacted a subject regarding a call for service. A records check revealed the subject had a valid arrest warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of E. Palomino Blvd. where a violation of a court order was reported. Charges were submitted to the Fountain Hills Municipal Court.

Tuesday, Jan. 6

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of E. Gunsight Drive where it was reported an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open an account with a cellular phone carrier.

*Deputies responded to Shea Blvd and SR87 where it was reported a vehicle was stopped for a suspended registration. A subsequent records check of the driver revealed they had a valid arrest warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.

*Deputies responded to El Lago Boulevard and La Montana Drive after deputy ran the license plate of a vehicle while conducting traffic enforcement. The records check showed the vehicle was stolen out of Fort McDowell. Deputies stopped the vehicle and the driver was subsequently arrested and booked into jail for the stolen vehicle and an outstanding warrant. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and Thistle Drive where it was reported a traffic collision occurred after a vehicle made an unsafe lane change and side-swiped another vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of E. Westwind Ct. where it was reported an unknown subject attempted to purchase an item from a private citizen with a fraudulent check.
