The Fountain Hills Town Council unanimously voted to approve the appointment of Sherry Leckrone to the council to fill the vacant seat left by the resignation of Cecil Yates earlier this year.
Leckrone, an attorney served on the Town of Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commission four years between 2006 and 2010 where she served with both Yates and Councilman Dennis Brown.
She has worked as a prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and she also served as an assistant state’s attorney in Cook County in Chicago.

The Fountain Hills Town Council unanimously voted to approve the appointment of Sherry Leckrone to the council to fill the vacant seat left by the resignation of Cecil Yates earlier this year.
Leckrone, an attorney served on the Town of Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commission four years between 2006 and 2010 where she served with both Yates and Councilman Dennis Brown.
She has worked as a prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and she also served as an assistant state’s attorney in Cook County in Chicago.
Leckrone will serve the remainder of Yates’ term through 2020.
