At its Thursday session the Town Council heard how staff is planning to spend $40,000 in the budget for sidewalk construction in the downtown area.
Development Services Director Paul Mood said five projects have been determined based on priorities set in the town’s voter approved 2010 General Plan.
The five areas include work at the intersections of La Montana Drive and Parkview Ave., Palisades Boulevard and Parkview, Verde River Drive and Parkview and at Saguaro Boulevard and Parkview.

Sidewalk plan moves ahead

At its Thursday session the Town Council heard how staff is planning to spend $40,000 in the budget for sidewalk construction in the downtown area.
Development Services Director Paul Mood said five projects have been determined based on priorities set in the town’s voter approved 2010 General Plan.
The five areas include work at the intersections of La Montana Drive and Parkview Ave., Palisades Boulevard and Parkview, Verde River Drive and Parkview and at Saguaro Boulevard and Parkview.
The work totals roughly 4,700 square feet of new sidewalk.
Mood said the next step is to bid the construction, and then the bids will need to come back to the council for award.
