Fountain Hills is a community of volunteers, and never more so than on its Eighth Annual “Make a Difference Day” on Saturday, Oct. 22. It is a morning where all residents are invited to help the most vulnerable in the community by providing work service for four hours at designated projects.
Organizers are seeking assistance from residents to come out and show their neighbors that “Fountain Hills is the small town with a big heart.”
Work projects include raking and cleaning up landscaping debris, building wheelchair ramps for homebound residents, small minor repairs, planting groundcover, painting, tile cleaning, repairing leaks, deep cleaning in kitchens, and more.

Fountain Hills is a community of volunteers, and never more so than on its Eighth Annual “Make a Difference Day” on Saturday, Oct. 22. It is a morning where all residents are invited to help the most vulnerable in the community by providing work service for four hours at designated projects.

Volunteers range from Cub and Daisy Scouts to seniors who are able to provide their services. All interested individuals are encouraged to participate and register to become a Make a Difference Day Volunteer.
Those who would like to volunteer for Make a Difference Day can do so at the town website, fh.az.gov/madd – registration online is very simple.
Registration forms can also be found at the Community Center and Town Hall kiosks. This is a great opportunity to strengthen ties in the community as well as address existing needs. The project aims to prove that everyone can “Make a Difference.”
