It’s just about time to lace up the running shoes and prepare for the big Thanksgiving dinner with the 27th annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, just before the local parade.
Registrations are now being accepted for the 5K run and one-mile fitness walk. The cost is $25 per runner ($15 for runners 12 and younger) and $15 per walker. The pre-registration deadline is 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16. Late fees apply for those registering after the deadline. Registration will be open on race morning.

The 5K begins at 7:30 a.m. on La Montana Drive near Town Hall.
New this year will be recognition of the top three finishers in the 5K in each age division for both men and women. Top finishers will receive Turkey Trot medals. Age divisions are broken down to 10-year increments. Fitness Walk participants will receive Turkey Trot ribbons.
