Signature moment

The upcoming property tax initiative will be a signature moment for our town’s future. It is unfortunate that outsiders and dark money are imposing themselves on a matter reserved for local homeowners’ involvement.

Our town is a larger version of an HOA, meaning it must be fiscally prudent and maintain both adequate revenues (dues) to support day-to-day operations and a reserve or rainy day fund to cover unexpected, major expenses. Our town has struggled on both priorities because of unpredictable incoming revenues.

We love our town and its amenities and honestly need to invest in its long-term well-being. It is a matter of sustainability, value and quality of life. Vote yes!
