Someone please explain to me how our town council is concerned more about a few 8x11-inch lost puppy dog and lost kitty signs tacked on street and stop signs for a few days but allow hundreds of political signs to line the streets for months.

People are distracted by a sheet of cardboard taped below a four-times-larger informational sign? Buffy the dog causes an accident?

Come on, folks. We’re living in an area that doesn’t stop at stop signs, exceeds the speed limit and buys vehicles that are not equipped with turn signals. I’ve watched police, ambulances, school buses and fire trucks drive right on through. My chances of finding Buffy are better than controlling town council or the traffic. I’d rather find Buffy than consider any of the candidates who want to put their faces in front of me.
