Silence?

Why are the majority members of council so silent on the EPCOR water issue? Mayor Kavanagh is the only member holding EPCOR accountable to the residents for their poor response to the hundreds of complaints filed against them.

But even so, EPCOR is continuing to disrespect residents and doing nothing to resolve the questionable water bills residents have received. Apparently the town’s lawsuit matters little to them. What will it take to get this company to start caring about the ratepayers and this town?

Where is the voice of re-elected Councilmember Leger who was there from the beginning of the absurd EPCOR rate increase request? The council agreed to it via a pleading submitted to ACC? Why? Now they are back tracking.

Where are the voices of Councilmembers-elect DePorter and Magazine? Each of you were stone silent during the campaign trail, and now that you are elected still no comment. Our residents deserve better. Both of you need to challenge the actions of EPCOR and start doing the job you were elected to do.

And when will the current council submit a status report to the public so that residents know that their issues are being resolved?
