Voters in LD23 (Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Rio Verde) have received their ballots in the mail and every day, hundreds of voters are filling them out and turning them in.
The decisions they make may seem complicated with all of the choices on the ballot, but in reality each is a simple choice. In each race there are candidates who stand for more government and candidates who stand for less. Higher taxes and more spending or lower taxes and less spending. A government more involved in running your life or less involved in running your life.
And in our district the primary is the race that decides the November winner, so now is the time to decide if you want even more government or greater personal freedom and choice.

At a recent forum one of the candidates, Bob Littlefield, told the audience that if they wanted conservatives then they could vote for Jay Lawrence and Michelle Ugenti, and if they wanted moderate candidates they could pick Bob Littlefield and Effie Carlson. Bob’s right about that. So it is actually easy.
You get to elect two State Representatives and you have two that stand for less government and two that stand for more. Two that oppose the ObamaCare expansion and two that support it. Two that oppose Common Core and two that support it. Two conservatives, Lawrence and Ugenti, and two moderates, Littlefield and Carlson.
If you are a voter in our district, I hope you will make your choice, fill out your ballot, and send it in. Of course I’d be most grateful if you were voting for Jay Lawrence!
