OPINION — Allen Skillicorn was so distasteful that a group of staunch Democrats handed the election to his Republican opponent.
Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of a small group of concerned Fountain Hills citizens, Allen Skillicorn will not move from council member to constable. It would be ironic (and tragic) if a man with a history of violations of the law and ethics were to attain such a position, since constables conduct asset seizures to enforce court judgments, conduct evictions, serve protective orders, and both civil and criminal arrest warrants.
A man who targets homeless people would be helping to create them. Can anyone imagine this man assisting people who are being evicted?
