Sheriff’s deputies continue to have problems with motorists speeding through the construction zone on Shea Boulevard.
On Thursday, Jan. 8, deputies made three additional traffic stops of motorists traveling between 60 and 71 miles per hour where the speed limit is just 25 while construction is under way.
With the ongoing work on Shea Boulevard and construction work set to begin in February on reconstruction of the entire length of Saguaro Boulevard north of Shea, the Sheriff’s Office is urging drivers to slow down and use caution where the work is ongoing.
