I want to thank the many residents who responded to the 8-year-old student, Masai, from Los Angeles for her school project.
Masai had selected the state of Arizona and made contact with me through my daughter, who is a teacher in her school. The editor of The Fountain Hills Times published her letter of appeal.
Long story short, she was inundated with postcards from Fountain Hills, letters, even T-shirts and memorabilia.

Needless to say, she was thrilled with your response and how it helped her get an A+ but also by the kindness and generosity of strangers…her new friends in Arizona.
