Smith: Why I’m voting for Trump

I’ve read several articles about voting “blue” and expressing confusion why anyone would vote for Trump.

There are many reasons to vote for Trump, most important is the wallet, one that can comfortably feed, shelter and clothe my family. Compared to Biden/Harris, Trump delivered a much more affordable cost of living with reasonable costs, tolerable inflation and a better family life with a few extra bucks to have fun was within reach.

That is quickly disappearing. Why? Since 2021 Biden/Harris economic policy resulted in inflation on steroids, devastating any chance for middle America to survive, let alone get ahead. Biden/Harris inherited a Trump inflation of 1.4%. It skyrocketed to 9.1% due to the Biden/Harris inept economic policy. Sticker shock is everywhere … the gas pump, grocery store, rent, utility bills, home and auto and much more.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics sums it up: Food prices up 22.3%, shelter up 23%, energy up 29.4%, auto insurance up 57.5%, health insurance up 18.9%. Kamala Harris says she wants to make it a top priority to bring down costs and economic security for all Americans and ensure every person an opportunity to not just get by, but get ahead. What? This woman and her presidential sidekick are driving hardworking Americans to economic destruction. Emotionally and physically stressed, people are maxing out credit card debt, dipping into retirement plans and working additional jobs just to get by.

Capping it off, Kamala Harris stated she wouldn’t do anything different from what she and Joe Biden have done for the past four years. That said, I’ve concluded my wallet and family were much better off during the Trump years. Trump gives America the best chance of making our life affordable and the world a much safer place to live and prosper.
