Sommer: Service like no other

On Thursday afternoon our dog came bursting through the back door. He was hurt, we had no idea what had happened.

With 30 minutes before closing, I called El Dorado Animal Hospital on Parkview. Jenna answered my call and told me to bring him in right away. We were there within minutes. We waited to see Dr. Mattick for no more than a couple minutes. After a quick look and a keen eye, Dr. Mattick said, “it looks like a snake strike, you need to get him to VCA in Mesa immediately.” 

Thirty minutes later, we walked into the lobby at VCA and they were waiting on us and immediately took the dog back for treatment. Seems pretty basic, but here is where our local business shines. El Dorado took the time to call VCA while we were on our way and provide all of our information as well as the preliminary diagnosis so that that VCA could be ready. Who does that? El Dorado Animal Hospital does that.

Yet another example of some of the fine businesses in our town that go above and beyond on a daily basis. They never want recognition when you tell them how much you appreciate them, they just respond with, “it's just what we do.”

Well done El Dorado, we appreciate you, and in a world where there’s so much complaining, it’s nice to be reminded of the good people that often fly under the radar.
