Here are a few lines from a song from the 1953 motion picture “The Eddie Cantor Story:” I am not a politician, so what I say is true. If you send me to Washington, here is what I’ll do.
If these lines sound familiar in today’s presidential race, the rest of the song will describe Donald Trump’s spiel in a nutshell.
Eddie Cantor’s version is much easier on the ears as EC can sing and dance; all D. Trump can do is point and shout when he does his thing. His words are very similar to the song “When I Am President.”

Both renditions of the song had and have an effect on the public. Ticket sales for the movie were very high and today’s polls reflect DT’s version of “Send Me to Washington” are in the same high category. Before the next debate maybe the other wannabees might consider some songs and lessons.
