Busy November calendar

The Sonoran Conservancy of Fountain Hills (SCFH) is hosting the November Hiking Challenge kickoff with a two- or three-mile hike.

The public is invited to the kickoff Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Fountain Parkat the Red Yucca Ramada.

The event starts with coffee and cookies and chat with SCFH volunteers before setting off at 9 a.m. for a two-mile hike on the Lake Overlook Trail. An optional one mile trek around the park can be added to complete three miles.
