Southbound Palisades Boulevard remains closed following a water main break early Monday morning. EPCOR/CCWC was able to repair the line by end of day on Monday, but town officials say plans to backfill the the trench and pave the roadway were still incomplete as of 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
Chelsea Maynard, a spokeswoman for EPCOR, said the plan is to have the roadway repaved on Wednesday with at least a partial opening for the Christmas holiday.
"Our goal is to have this portion of the road re-opened in time for the holiday so the inconvenience to traffic is minimized" Maynard said.
