St. Pat's success

St. Pat’s at the Fountain on Sunday, March 13, celebrated a record turnout. Fountain Events, Inc. organizers Christine Colley, Sam Coffee and Denise Ricketts wish to thank all who celebrated St. Pats with us.

Kids enjoyed free entertainment. Everyone enjoyed traditional Irish bagpipes, dancers, and the lively Traveler Band. As usual, this favored event drew Valley-wide visitors to the festivities, and to experience Fountain Hills.

It takes a village to produce these community events and Fountain Hills exemplifies that. Special applause to the Fountainside Plaza merchants who helped make the kids entertainment zone possible. Exemplifying our town’s spirit, over 100 people volunteered to help make this event a success.

Thanks to the Elks Lodge #2846 members who staffed the gates and ticket booths, Sons of AMVETS members who served drinks, and the Sons of the American Legion team who served the corned beef. Our apologies for the delayed meal service due to technical difficulties.

It was the Jazzercize Dance Team who decorated the tables, and the FH high school basketball team ensured that the grounds were kept clean. The MidFirst Bank coin truck staff received collections for the VFW Post #7505 fundraiser benefiting their Veteran’s Community Resource Center.

Our MC, John Gibson, promoted the fundraiser, which exceeded expectations with the MidFirst Bank matching funds.

Our heartfelt thanks to our vendors who showcased their businesses: Phi’s Filling Station, Fountain Hills Water and Ice and the staff at Fireside Grill who prepared the corned beef and cabbage. Thanks also to BOGO Promotions for providing event signage.

Fountain Events, Inc. is a non-profit organization that produces family-oriented festivals in Fountain Hills with profits dedicated to veterans, the food bank and high school projects. The Fourth of July celebration and Oktoberfest are our upcoming events in 2016.
