Statewide aggravated DUIs increased over July 4 weekend

Statewide DUI arrests dipped below last year’s numbers while aggravated DUIs were up slightly for the July 4 weekend, according to the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

Traffic enforcement officers made 9,223 traffic stops and 306 total DUI arrests from July 3 through July 5 — 29 less DUI arrests from 2024, according to data from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

Aggravated DUI arrests increased from 55 in 2024 to 64 this year, according to the data.
