Fountain Hills Theater is staging the beloved story through Sunday, Oct. 28.
The celebrated Southern classic is the story of a group of women who cluster around Truvy’s Beauty Parlor in a small Louisiana parish. The central character, Shelby, moves from wedding to childbirth to medical complications with a love of life and a willingness to face its possibilities bravely.
Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
“Steel Magnolias” features Sarah Brisco, Hillary Hirsch, Noel Irick, Angela Kabasan, Avery Volk and Mary Pat Wallace. It is produced by Leah Klein and directed by Roger Prenger.
Individual tickets are $30 for adults and $12 for youth 17 and younger. A $5 senior discount is available Thursdays. Group rates and veteran discounts also are offered. Tickets may be purchased online at fhtaz.org/events/steel-magnolias.
