Gentle stretch and tone is a workout using a chair for balance and stretching. The class is held on Thursdays from Sept. 8, to Dec. 8, with no class Thanksgiving Day.

Stretch and exercise classes begin Sept. 8

Town of Fountain Hills Community Services is offering stretch and exercise classes this fall for those 50 and older.
The classes are taught by Laurie Hegna at the Community Center, 13001 La Montana Drive. The cost is $60.
Gentle stretch and tone is a workout using a chair for balance and stretching. The class is held on Thursdays from Sept. 8, to Dec. 8, with no class Thanksgiving Day.
Exercise with Laurie is a full body workout using weights, rings, sticks and exercise balls to focus on all muscle groups.
This class meets Fridays, Sept. 9 through Dec. 16.
Stretch and Balance for beginners is a full body workout for all muscle groups.
There are two sessions for this class, Thursdays, Sept. 8 through Dec. 8, and Fridays, Sept. 9 through Dec. 16.
After completing the beginners’ class, take the workout up a notch with Stretch and Balance advanced.
This class also meets in two sessions, Thursdays, Sept. 8 through Dec. 8, and Fridays, Sept. 9 through Dec. 16.
Pre-registration is required and the registration deadline is approaching quickly. Last day to sign up is Wednesday, Aug. 31. Register at fh.az.gov/recreation or by visiting Town Hall or the Community Center. Classes are limited to 12 participants.
