Summer is only weeks away and Fountain Hills Library is preparing for the summer reading program.
“A Universe of Stories” is the theme this year for the annual Maricopa County Reads program. Maricopa County Reads is the award-winning summer reading program provided to all public, tribal and military base libraries in the county.
The program is designed to interrupt the “summer slide,” the common term given to learning loss children experience in the summer between school years. It also promotes early literacy among pre-readers and their families during the summer months.
