“This was our opportunity to open up the doors of our very fun evening dinner club and allow folks from the public to hear about what we do for the children of our community and our world,” said Mike Fleming, president of the local group that meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month for a 6:30 p.m. dinner meeting.

“We have several annual fundraisers each year that allow us to support local youth groups like the Key Club at Fountain Hills High School, scout groups, the Sunshine Acres Orphanage Home and others.”

Sunset Kiwanis is also a large contributor to local scholarships for graduating high school seniors.

The club encourages anyone who is interested in learning more to join them as a guest at an upcoming meeting.

For information, call Membership Coordinator Dori Wittrig at 602-558-5901. The club has a website at www.sunsetkiwanis.org.
