Outside of the upcoming academic calendar, the board will also consider approval of the superintendent goals for 2017-18. Those goals are broken into four major categories.
The first section is “Support and promote policies and practices that increase student achievement and inspirte all students to reach their maximum potential.
Goal two is to “support, promote and champion the district’s success and excellence.”
Goal three states that Superintendent Dr. Patrick Sweeney will “build and sustain a collaborative pre-K through 12 learning environment that meets the needs of individual students, their families and our community.”
The last major goal is to “implement and maintain responsible stewardship of district funds and other resources, guided by the best interests of the students.
Also up for consideration at tonight’s meeting is a pair of extracurricular trips, including a middle school trip to Washington, D.C. and a middle school trip for the Earthquest group to YMCA Camp Surf in California.
