Fountain Hills Unified School District Superintendent Tom Lawrence has been offered a contract extension following the May 15 School Board meeting, as well as approval to offer contracts to local principals Joanne Meehan, Tom Brennan and Anita Gomez.
The board met in executive session before the regular meeting Wednesday to discuss the superintendent's contract, which it later voted to approve unanimously. The new contract will begin July 1 and runs through June 30, 2016.

During the same meeting, the board also approved a motion to instruct Lawrence to offer contracts to the district's three principals. The principal contracts were discussed at a previous meeting, at which time Lawrence recommended that the board consider approval.
