Just a shout out about supporting our local business.
For some silly reason I thought consignment items would receive better exposure in Scottsdale or Phoenix. I brought a rug to a consignment store in Scottsdale and they went bankrupt. I walked up to the locked doors in shock and the lawyer told me I could not collect my item because it technically did not belong to me at that point. Amazingly, I got it back eventually.
Next I took some items to a store in Phoenix -- they sold promptly but I received very little money for them.

Finally, I brought an item to Colors Consignment in Fountain Hills. They were very professional, sold my item in a timely manner and I received a very fair price.
I realize there are no guarantees for items selling in any consignment store, but I learned my lesson the hard way. Next time I’m going to Colors right off the bat!
