The Hope Fund is the fundraiser of the Concours in the Hills car show at Fountain Park Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
With the help from 10 local retailers, the Noble Bread booth at the Farmers Market and cash donations, a total of $3,000 has been donated to the fund, says Betsy Hess, director of the Fountain Hills Farmers’ Market.
“It has been my pleasure to sell these amazing cookies to our customers,” Hess said. “Over the last four months, I have heard many stories of how Phoenix Children’s Hospital has been a wonderful experience when a family was in need of their services.
“I have also heard stories from children’s hospitals in other cities. I personally was able to relate, as over 25 years ago my oldest son was in Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, for many days when he was ill. So, I understand the importance of a dedicated hospital for our children.”
This Saturday, Noble Bread will have two tents located at the Concours event to try to sell 2,000 more cookies to reach the goal of selling 5,000 cookies this year.
“The Phoenix Children’s Foundation, Noble Bread and I want to thank you for your support,” Hess said.
