After reading Sylvia Parcyzn’s reaction to “Fred and Ginger,” I was probably as disappointed as was Jerry Miles. By the way, kudos to Jerry for his frank response.
I have only lived in Fountain Hills for a few months and am a regular walker around the Fountain. When I first spotted Fred and Ginger, all I could do was stop and smile. It is such a mutually loving tribute to years of an exceptional marriage, and all I could think was if we could all be so lucky.
Thank you Jerry for explaining how the dedication process works. It is obvious that the Public Art Committee is extremely thorough in deciding what statues will grace our beautiful Fountain, and I only hope there will be many beautiful art works to follow.

Looking at these statues through the eyes of someone who is a “newbie” to this amazing community, it only validates how lucky I am to reside here. Not only are the residents wonderful, but their taste in art is pretty exceptional also.
Thanks to Jerry, the Public Art Committee and all the other amazing people who are helping make my Fountain Hills experience more terrific than I could have ever imagined.
To Walter and Betty – may your journey continue for years to come, and one day you will be two stepping in Heaven. Thank you for your unselfish generosity.
