'Teens and screens' breakfast for parents, grandparents Thursday

The Fountain Hills Coalition, PTO and Fountain Hills Unified School District are hosting a free continental breakfast for parents and grandparents this Thursday, Oct. 25, including a presentation on the impact of social media on the minds of youngsters.

“The minds of boys and girls: Screens, tweens and teens” will be presented alongside the breakfast from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. for parents and grandparents of high school students, with elementary and middle school parents invited out from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. The focus of the presentation will be to help participants learn “what life is like for children in 2019.”

Phil’s Filling Station is donating the breakfast and, during each session, a $200 gift card to the restaurant will be rewarded to a participant.
