Falcon tennis has two matches again this week with the first one happening yesterday, April 2, against ASU Prep.

The second match is tomorrow, Thursday, April 4, against Cicero Prep.

Valley Lutheran

“In a 6-3 home loss to Valley Lutheran, the girls team won the same number of matches (three) as Valley Lutheran, but gave up three forfeit points because of the short roster,” head coach Ted Trippett said.

Rory Wilson in the ones spot lost her match 7-6, 6-1 and, in the twos spot, Courtney Flynn fell to her opponent 6-0, 6-3.

Elise Quan added a third win to her streak with a 6-4, 6-1 win and Penny Enterline also carded a win at 7-6, 1-6 and 10-8.

In the doubles flight, Wilson and Flynn won 8-4 and Quan and Enterline lost 8-1.

“I was happy to see Rory and Courtney rebound after tough singles matches to finish strong with a doubles win together,” Trippett said.

The boys tennis picked up a new player for their match against Valley Lutheran.

“One of the points picked up was by sophomore Austin Berns who, in just his second match with the team, won his match 6-0, 4-6, 10-4 at the number five spot,” Trippett said. “I think he is a great competitor and we are glad to have him on the team.”

At the ones position, Kyle Richardson lost a close match 4-6, 6-4 and 10-2.

At the twos level Casey Timms lost 6-3, 6-1. Andrei Urda lost in the threes spot 6-4, 6-2 and Blake Anderson lost 6-4, 6-1.
