As I read the various letters written to the Fountain Hills Times, it is impossible not to sense the discord coming from these writers.
So many people are critical of everything around them (us) and they feel they must share that with all who read their message. I am not suggesting that these writers should cease. What I want to share with everyone is that there are an awful lot of positives going on around us. Maybe we should look a little harder at the glass being half full instead of half empty.
I know that many of you who are reading the paper today visit our Community/Senior Center with some regularity. I am also quite sure that the fact that everything is set up perfectly, for whatever event calls you to the Center, you just accept as normal – that is the way it is supposed to be.

Well, I for one know the amount of effort that the folks who work there expend for us. Yes, it is their job to see that everything is set up properly. Should we just accept the fact that that is the way it is supposed to be? How about saying thank you to these folks who we see there every day?
Our positive attitude extended to the people whose efforts we benefit from goes a long way to making this an even better community to live in. Try it. There is no cost to anyone, just a bit of kindness and effort. This is what is known as a win-win effort; everyone benefits.
