Our small town is blessed with many top-notch people in key positions from town officials to its employees.
My wife (Marcia) and I have been snowbirds from Michigan since our retirement 10-plus years ago, and have owned a vacant home lot for over 20 years, and hope to build our permanent retirement home here and become year-around residents soon.
In our dealings with Town staff over the years on various issues (Randy Harrel, Bob Rodgers, and councilmen Henry Leger, Cecil Yates, just for examples), we have been extremely pleased with the helpful, professional, courteous and very friendly attitude of everyone we have encountered.

I recently heard that the gentleman that probably tops this list will be retiring from the Sanitary District soon.
I am speaking of Mr. Ron Huber. What a wonderful person he has been over his career here. We first encountered Ron when we were investigating the purchase of a duplex near the Sanitary plant on Saguaro 10 years ago.
Back then there were a few issues with the Saguaro facility functioning in a non-obtrusive way. Air intake systems made howling sounds, Diesel engine back-up generators made roaring sounds when tests ran. However, thanks to Ron and his team the Sanitary plant has been a completely benign member in good standing of its neighboring area for many, many years.
Ron personally walked the streets of the neighborhoods with sound level testing equipment and then oversaw design revisions to various equipment to totally eliminate any and all types of emanations from the treatment plant.
Thank you, Ron, and the many other dedicated people that make Fountain Hills the best place to live!
