Thanksgiving, updates and our new office

Heading into the Thanksgiving holiday, the staff of the Fountain Hills Times Independent has an announcement to make: We’re moving!

We’ve enjoyed our home of the past 16 or so years but, once we’re back from this week’s vacation (more on that in just a moment), we’ll be operating out of our new office in the downtown area.

Moving forward, you’ll be able to find us at 16853 E. Palisades Blvd., Suite 201. You can park right in front of the building and head up the stairs to the right to reach our offices. For those requiring assistance, visitors may also park in the lot behind the building and take the elevator up to the second floor.

We’re excited that we’ll be right in the heart of the community moving forward, with faster access to all the hustle and bustle happening around Fountain Hills each day.

For those who would like to visit the new office, we’re planning a Chamber ribbon cutting early next year, so keep an eye out for an announcement in a future issue with all the details.

As for that vacation I mentioned earlier, all Independent Newsmedia offices will be closed this Thursday and Friday, Nov. 22-24, for Thanksgiving. We’re giving our staff a chance to enjoy a much-needed break to spend time with their friends and families, or maybe just catch up on sleep with four days of napping.

We’ll be back up and running Monday, Nov. 27, operating out of our new office.

Contacting us

As you may have noticed, members of the Times Independent staff have new email addresses. Above the banner of each section (in print or the e-edition) is a reminder of whom to send information to for that particular section or, if you prefer, you can click on “Contact Us” under “Our Services” at the very bottom of any page at fhtimes.com. You’ll find information for all our services and reporters.

Also, for those wishing to submit opinions, you can use azopinions@iniusa.org or simply send them directly to me at rwinslett@iniusa.org for consideration. Approved submissions will run online as soon as possible, then appear in the next print edition available. Letters are still limited to 300 words here in Fountain Hills, and the “two per month” limitation is based on print dates.

Logging in

As with any transition, we are experiencing some growing pains. If anyone is having issues logging in to their online account, please contact Michael Johnson at mjohnson@iniusa.org, and he’ll help get everything sorted. We apologize for any inconvenience folks have experienced in recent weeks, as we want to make sure everyone has the ability to get to the news with as little fuss as possible. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding as we get everything sorted.

Well, I think that’s about all the updates and reminders we have for now. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook, sign up for our daily newsletter and check out all of the other fantastic publications at yourvalley.net.

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving, and we’ll see you back here next week as we head into the final stretch of 2023.
