The double standards need to stop

A recent Republican’s opinion accused Councilwoman Kalivianakis of having “voted with the liberal bloc” and “patronizing the Democratic Club Facebook page, with one Democratic Club member commenting, ‘Brenda is a legend in her own mind.’”

If our councilwoman is patronizing the FHDC’s Facebook page, it stands to reason that so is any opinion writer who reads their Facebook group frequently enough to have noticed this reputed patronizing. It takes a patron to spot a patron.

If our councilwoman is colluding with Liberals, it stands to reason that so is any Conservative who quotes Leftist rhetoric to punish Conservative elected officials.

For the love of our town, these hyper-partisan double standards need to stop.
