Gorgeous spring weather in the Sonoran Desert and what remains a recovering economy combined to make the three-day 2014 Chamber of Commerce Great Fair a tremendous success.
Just about everyone benefits when an arts festival of this magnitude comes together in the right way. Some downtown merchants were likely temporarily inconvenienced by the traffic and detours, but the sheer numbers of shoppers alone hopefully made up for that.
The town government’s coffers eventually benefit from sales tax revenues, the Chamber’s operating budget is supplemented, the restaurants stayed busy, the artists were selling their goods, tourism backers love the exposure this event brings, the service clubs made money for their charitable causes and the “best of” Fountain Hills was on display for those who may be thinking of retiring or relocating to a great destination.

And Fountain Hills isn’t done yet.
There are several special events coming up yet in March and April, and various groups are busy preparing for them right now. This is good news for our community and our citizens. Let’s continue to put our best foot forward.
