The Fountain Hills Art League looks ahead

Ringing in the new year, the Fountain Hills Art League in conjunction with the Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association, has a Juried Show currently hanging in the Community Center lobby and hallways.
The artists are from Fountain Hills, the Verdes, Scottsdale and Mesa. The reception and awards ceremony is Thursday, Jan. 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend.
The Art League’s All-Member Show will hang for the month of February at the Fountain Hills Community Center.
Participation in this show is open to all members of the Fountain Hills Art League.
Voting for the “People’s Choice Award” is now open to the public and to Art League members via written ballot. The award is given at a public reception Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana Drive.
The winner of the All-Member Show is eligible to participate in the Artist of the Year competition every December.

The community is also invited to mark their calendars for the 12th Annual Tour d’ Artistes Studio Tour and Sale held March 1-3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
A total of 11 studios and galleries will participate. There is no charge for this event and the money donated by the sponsors is used to support the art programs in Fountain Hills schools.
